Many School Buildings have Unit Ventilators and Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTACs) in the classrooms that require 1/2" depth filters with lengths up to 70". Traditionally, fiberglass or other disposable air filters were often used in these applications. NOW, the NEW Airex MERV 8 High Capacity Pleated Air Filters are available - providing; longer life, cost savings, and improved Indoor Air Quality for your school or office!

Airex Filter Corporation is one of the few manufacturers that offer MERV 8 High Capacity Pleated Air Filters in a 1/2" Depth. Airex PM-HC 1/2" Custom Sized Pleated Air Filters are available in a wide range of sizes.

Airex MERV 8 Pleated Air Filter Media is 100% synthetic, and electrostatically charged for optimum efficiency at a very low initial pressure drop. These air filters are ideal for Unit Ventilators, Heat Pumps, and other equipment where you need to upgrade from a Fiberglass or Polyester Disposable Air Filter to one with higher efficiency. With initial resistance of just 0.35 in.wc @500FPM, these filters can provide the higher efficiency you need without sacrificing airflow.

Airex MERV 8 Pleated Air Filters feature an Enclosing Frame constructed of rigid, heavy-duty, moisture resitant, beverage board. Odd-size air filters can be manufactured with or without metal retainers and support straps.

The Airex MERV 8 Pleatīs Filter Pack is bonded to the inside of the frame using a hot-metal adhesive, eliminating dirty air bypass. Media Support is available in expanded wire with an effective open area of not less than 93%. Additionally, the Wire Grid is bonded to the filter media to eliminate the possibility of media oscillation and media pull-away in service.
